  1. Crave Coffeehouse

At first glance, Crave Coffeehouse may look like a standard cafe, but this popular St. Louis coffee shop also serves as a place of worship on the weekends. During the week, Crave Coffeehouse is a great place to hold informal meetings or to hang out with friends.

 

The coffee menu includes hot and cold coffee as well as a variety of espresso drinks, including cappuccinos, Cubanos, and lattes. Non-coffee options include hot chocolate, chai lattes, tea, and Italian sodas. Both breakfast and lunch menus include a variety of sandwiches and salads. Crave Coffeehouse offers many gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.

 

Crave is close to the Saint Louis University medical campus at 3500 Caroline St. The coffee shop is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crave is closed on Saturday and Sunday to allow for church services. Online ordering is available.

  1. Rise Coffee House

Rise Coffee House is more than simply a great coffeehouse. It’s also a community hub dedicated to enhancing the neighborhood, fostering connections among people, and providing young people with employment opportunities. Rise is known for its “Coffee to the People” board that allows you to buy coffee or breakfast for others.

Coffee options include hot and cold coffee drinks, including espresso, steamers, and a unique Kyoto cold brew. Tea options include loose-leaf and locally crafted kombucha on tap.

 

In addition to coffee, Rise offers sandwiches, hashes, pancakes, avocado toast, yogurt bowls, breakfast tacos, and salads. Rise Coffee also bakes and sells scones, tea cakes, muffins, and cookies.

 

Rise Coffee House is at 4176 Manchester Ave. in the Grove neighborhood of St. Louis. Operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can enjoy your coffee in the comfortable dining room or on the patio. Online ordering and curbside pickup are also available.

  1. Blondie’s Coffee, Wine, and Dessert Bar

Blondie’s Coffee, Wine, and Dessert Bar is a fun, eclectic cafe that serves coffee, mouth-watering food, and a full drinks menu. Blondie’s is known for its cozy dining room, patio, and friendly service. Coffee drinks at Blondie’s include hot and cold coffees, mochas, lattes, and a variety of espresso drinks. For an extra kick, order a coffee infused with Baileys, Kahlua, or Frangelico. The wine bar offers a large variety of red, white, and sparkling wines as well as mixed drinks and craft beers.

 

Breakfast dishes include egg platters, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, French toast, pancakes, and waffles. Blondie’s is known for its mouth-watering popovers served with spreads such as sweet strawberry butter and savory sunflower seed pesto. Other pastries include scones, brownies, and gooey butter cakes. Sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and the local favorite jumbo lump crabcakes are on the lunch menu.

 

Blondie’s is at 1301 Washington Ave. You can visit Blondie’s Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on the weekends from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
