CX-30 Overview
TheCX-30 is available in eight trims that come with two different power plants. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder powers the base 2.5 S, Select, Preferred, Carbon Edition, and the Premium trim. A powerful turbocharged 2.5-liter is the power plant exclusive to the 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus trims. All models of the 2022 CX-30 come with a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
CX-30 2.5 S
The CX-30 2.5 S base trim is powered by a 186-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a suite of standard driver-assistance systems comprising forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and drowsy driver monitoring. The standard infotainment system features an 8.8-inch display unit and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
CX-30 Select
The CX-30 Select trim builds on the base trim’s comfort and convenience to include keyless entry, simulated leather upholstery, a tinted rear window, and dual-zone climate control. Blind-spot monitoring is available, and larger 18-inch wheels raise the curbside appeal.
CX-30 Preferred
The CX-30 Preferred trim adds a few interior features to the Select trim. Highlights include a sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and heated front row seats.
CX-30 Carbon Edition
The Carbon Edition is the CX-30 Premium trim with an appearance package. If the CX-30 you are looking at has red leather seats, gray paint, and a set of 18-inch black alloy rims, it’s a Carbon Edition.
CX-30 Premium
The CX-30 Premium trim adds an extensive list of equipment and features to enhance the Preferred package. Interior tech upgrades include in-built navigation, premium audio, satellite radio, and a head-up display. The power liftgate, a set of roof rails, and adaptive headlights add utility and convenience. Leather upholstery and paddle shifters are notable interior upgrades.
CX-30 2.5 Turbo
Looking for a CX-30 Preferred trim with the enormous power of a turbocharged 2.5-liter? The CX-30 2.5 Turbo is for you. The standard turbo engine produces 277 horsepower on premium gas, and 250 horsepower when running on 93 octane fuel is available on all turbo-variants.
CX-30 2.5 Turbo Premium
The 2.5 Turbo Premium comes with all of the CX-30 Premium trim niceties, and it runs on steroids. It doesn’t come as any surprise that the 2.5 Turbo Premium is one of the most popular SUVs in its class.
2.5 Turbo Premium Plus
The 2022 CX-30 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus is the top-tier trim with exclusive advanced driver-assistance technologies. Notable features include front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and Traffic Jam adaptive cruise control.
